Textile Painting Workshop with Melanie Royals
We will explore a variety of exciting textile printing and painting techniques including stenciling, dyeing and discharged color, and silkscreen pattern options on both fashion and upholstery fabrics.
Traveling to France
Chateau Dumas lies one hour north of Toulouse city center and Toulouse Blagnac international airport. Please plan your flight to arrive in Toulouse around late morning to midday Saturday. We recommend that you consider flying in a day or two early and spending some time in Toulouse-to see the city and adjust to the time difference (we can provide a list of recommended hotels), and then taxi to meet the main group at the airport. If you choose to extend you time in France either before or after the Retreat, you can make arrangements to arrive via rail at the Montauban (Villebourbon) or Caussade Railway Station.
Transport to Chateau Dumas from Toulouse
Transfer to and from the airport to Chateau Dumas is included! Our bus transfer from the airport to Chateau Dumas will occur sometime in the early afternoon on Saturday. The exact time will be determined once we have all student flight itineraries available. Free transportation is also provide upon departure, with the bus leaving the Chateau for the airport mid-morning on our last Saturday.
If you book flight arriving or leaving Toulouse that fall outside of the standard transport times, we can book you private transportation (at your own expense)
