Some good memories from our 2016 Chateau Dumas group.....
I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Melanie Royals is an amazing and generous instructor and shared so much knowledge. I am going on this trip again and encourage anyone to go and experience this part of France. You will come home motivated and excited about all the possibilities. Lynn White
I've had the pleasure of participating in several artist retreat trips with Melanie over the years...to Italy, Spain and Morocco to name a few, but this retreat to lovely Chateau Dumas in the French countryside was indeed a treat. Not only was the setting lovely, the food spectacular and the side trips to wineries and brocantes in nearby villages very special...but learning a new skill, screen printing, in a setting that inspired individual creativity and exploration was delightful. If you are at all thinking about what it would be like to attend a workshop with Melanie at Chateau Dumas…consider it no longer…JUST DO IT!!!!! It was seriously the most enjoyable weeks I have ever had at a workshop, and the fact that it was in the most beautiful surroundings of the quite French country side doesn’t hurt! We had a wonderful mix of seasoned artists and some that had never tried anything like this before and everyone’s pieces were amazing, and more than that…everyone had a BLAST. Jennifer Reichert
