Boring Bathroom Be Gone! 10 Bathroom Makeover Ideas using Stencils

The bathroom is undoubtedly one of the most highly used rooms in your home. But function doesn’t have to trump beauty! Ā If your bathroom happens to be a little boring, bland, or (goodness!) just plain white, we have some great bathroom makeover ideas using stencils for you here. Simply add some fresh paint, aĀ pretty stencil pattern, and a little creativity to add instant drama and personality.

Surface Refinements sure knows how to add the WOW factor to any room-whatever the size. She made these bathroom walls dark and mysterious with copper foil over a textured croc finish. She then put the glitz and glam into this room by embossing our Raj Trellis Indian Wall Stencil with raised wax, glitter, and black Swarovski crystals!

Scandinavian design is so on trend right now! We love the airy and uncomplicated feel of our Swedish Flower Field Stencil in Meet Me in Philadelphia’s bathroom. For the stencil paint color she picked up on the pretty blue glazed tiles below. The result? A fresh wallpaper look at a fraction of the cost.

Domestic Charm’s powder room makeover with the Persian Garden Damask wall stencil is a stencil stunner!! She chose a subtle tone-on-tone paint treatment black. Stenciling in black satin paint over a flat black wall color creates a subtle shimmer of stenciled pattern. Dark colors can actually be used quite effectively in small spaces. It’s a chic neutral look that becomes the perfect backdrop for the bold green and gold accents, and the crisp white of the fixtures and baseboard molding provides a nice, bright contrast.

Driven by DĆ©cor had the challenge of redecorating her powder bath. It had dated wallpaper, a blah mirror and needed a relaxing color scheme. The piĆØce de rĆ©sistance is theĀ Annapakshi Indian Damask Wall StencilĀ which was used to give an allover wallpaper look on the walls in subtle, soothing greys. Be sure to see Kris’ Stenciled BathroomĀ reveal on her blog details on this stunning bathroom makeover project.

Hueology Studio decorated with a pretty pewter basecoat and used Old White Chalk PaintĀ® for the bathroom stencils. She then added a gorgeous pop of metallic with our Aged Nickel Royal Stencil CrĆØme to the details of our Ribbon Lattice Wall Stencil. That little accent of a darker color adds depth and dimension to the stenciling and it’s such an easy way to take your stenciling up a notch!

This sleek wall finish was created by Special Effect Wallpaper and More with a large scale stencil pattern. The clean lines of our Contempo Trellis Wall Stencil mixed with touches of gold on white is the perfect way to create art deco style. The soothing colors create an elegant setting for a nice soak in the tub.

House on the Way beautifully paired our Step Up Triangles Wall Stencil with a custom board and batten wood treatment during her bathroom makeover. The surprising combination of an art deco stencil pattern, vintage gold frame, and white ceramic deer head work make this a room with a whimsical view!
