“I just recently moved into a very run down cottage with an old grimy concrete porch. I first painted layers of primer, plus two layers of Annie Sloan Old Ochre Chalk Paint®. Then the stenciling magic with the Anatolia Tile Stencil! People have asked me if it is tile! I added a small bit of French Linen Chalk Paint® to the Annie Sloan Floor Lacquer to give it an older appearance; almost tea stained. I love it and have gotten so many compliments! This was my first project and I have many more planned. I will make the cottage beautiful!” – Ann Drummond
“We bought a dated 90’s fixer upper and have had to redo almost everything. This powder room fell to the bottom of our to-do list because it was functional (but ugly!). So, with a super tight budget and wanting to make it extra special I chose the Palace Trellis Moroccan Wall Stencil to make an impact in this small room. I love the way it turned out, and that I got a wallpaper effect for a fraction of the price!” – Beth Ehrensberger
“My friend Jane and I stenciled the cement patio in front of my art studio with the Toledo Tile Stencil. It was the first time we'd ever stenciled and it turned out to be rather ambitious and huge, but also very rewarding. As you can see there were huge cracks on the cement pad but after stenciling you can hardly even see them. People are just amazed when they see it.” – Ellen Negley
“I love your stencils! I’m a frequent user of Wood Icing® plaster and your stencils hold up perfectly with the scrubbing that’s required to clean up after using that.
For the cabinet, I used Florence, Antibes, and Barcelona Chalk Paint®. I used the Zahara Moroccan Furniture Stencil in the panels and troweled over with Wood Icing® and accented with gold gilding wax and clear and dark wax. It was so worth the end result.
For this little cupboard, it originally had a dated look and a very damaged top. I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®, General Finishes in java, and the Zahara Moroccan Furniture Stencil to give this piece new life and spark. I purchased your set of stencil brushes for this project as well and they were fabulous.
For the Lisboa Tile Stencil table, I used General Finishes gel stain in java then created an ombré effect on the legs with Design Master Color Tool spray in Rose Gold. Colors are Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Florence and Antibes.” – Denise Marie Saylor

“My daughters asked me to paint their closet, and after they love it after I stenciled it. I used the Delicate Floral Panel A Stencil for the central design and a detail of the stencil Gargoyle Arch Classic Panel Stencil as a border to the sides. I also used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in Antoinette, Paloma, French Linen, and Coco. I sealed it with clear wax.” – Irida Kyriakophoulou
“We had an old carpet in our master bathroom. EWWWW! What do you do when flooring is just too expensive? Paint it of course! I used the Anatolia Tile Stencil from Royal Design Studio. The outcome is stunning.” – Stacey Hendrix
“I used to love the look of wallpaper, but was scared off by the price and commitment of wallpaper. Stenciling seemed like a cheaper alternative. So I stenciled the feature wall in my bedroom with the Shibori Japanese Wall Stencil. It turned out fabulous!!” – Stephanie Ellsworth

Lisboa Tile Stencil floor makeover by Cathy Rathje
“I transformed a sad, shabby pink table to a sleek, sophisticated tribal chic art piece. I incorporated Raven & Lily Tribal Stencil, Mini Tribal Border Stencils, Graphite and Pure White Chalk Paint®, and clear wax. The Royal Design Studio Stencils really distinguish this piece from ordinary to extraordinary.
I purchased a white shabby chic drop front desk from an antique store and transformed it into modern chic. I painted it with Graphite and Pure White Chalk Paint®, Tribal Batik Furniture Stencil, and Mini Tribal Border Stencils. I also used black wax to soften the edges and give them an antiqued appearance.” – Ernestina Morris
“The project started with the desire to paint the tile floor because the original tile color was dated. We cleaned, sanded, and primed the floor before laying two coats of Old White Chalk Paint® and stenciled it with the Parlor Lace Stencil and French Linen Chalk Paint®. Then sealed with three coats of floor lacquer. Of course the project turned out to be beautiful so we had to paint the walls and change lighting to make the floor ‘pop’. We love it!” – James Stucker
“Each summer my daughters go spend a couple weeks with their dad and I go a bit stir crazy being home without them. This summer I decided to tackle my kitchen floors with this beautiful Renaissance Tile Stencils project that I found on Royal Design Studio's website... and I'm so happy with the results!” – Jess Kelly
“My wife and I bought a house a year ago and the front porch was an eye sore. I didn’t want to go through the expense of ripping it up and replacing the porch but I did want something unique that would carry through the character of our home. I came across Royal Design Studio and decided on the Endless Moorish Circles Moroccan Stencil with a black border. The project was well worth it given all the compliments that we’ve received. Thanks for a great product and design. My porch and family love it!” – Jim Reilly

I made my hallway a showpiece! I love the French Bee Trellis Wall Stencil so much that I have a few that ‘escaped’ and are flying around my ceiling. Everyone who sees it comments on how beautiful it looks and it is one of my favorite projects that I’ve done. I love Royal Design Studio and will be using their products again.” – Katie Bistline
“A few years ago, I painted my nasty, ugly brown linoleum kitchen floor. I went neutral and boring, thinking it wouldn’t last long and I didn’t want to invest lots of time to it just to redo it or replace it. Fast forward to this summer, when my painted floor is still in excellent condition, but I’m ready for an updated, unique look. I painted the floor using Royal Design Studio’s Toledo Tile Stencil and I’M. IN. LOVE.” – Leah Bushey
“My daughter wanted a mermaid bedroom. I stumbled upon your stencil while searching the internet for inspiration and fell in love with the Moroccan Scallops Wall Stencil. “This was a beat up dining table that was offered to me as a conference table for my office. I accepted the gift and the challenge. After a lot of sanding, I painted the table with 6 different peacock colors in an outward ombre effect, and then sanded each layer to blend the colors. I stenciled the Laleh Persian Damask Stencil onto the table top with a metallic champagne gold color. Lastly, I used water based MiniWax Polycrylic to seal it. I get tons of compliments.” – Paulina Biggs Sparkuhl
“I have hated my bathroom for the last three years. I was hesitant to rip our bathroom apart to re-tile the floors, but instead, I ordered the Toledo Tile Stencil. I am SO loving the results. The stenciled floor gave the whole house a face lift. Favorite project, ever!!!” – Brittany Brewer
“I used Royal Design Studio' s Arabesque Ceiling Stencils Set to create the design. I painted the ceiling a lighter grey than the grey on the walls and stenciled with Silver Royal Stencil Creme. Overall, I am very pleased with the finished design.” – Noelle McCall
“Thank you so much Royal Design Studio for a wonderful inspirational website. We recently bought a home and upon moving in realized that the carpet in this was heavily soiled and on close inspection smelled really badly of cat pee! Ugh. It had to go. Having just bought the house though, we don't have a huge amount of leftover cash so the cost of real encaustic tiles wasn't going to be viable. My husband came across the idea of floor stenciling and the Royal Design Studio website - what a treasure trove! From Cat Pee Carpet to Colonial Tile in just a few weeks with the Chez Ali Moroccan Stencil - we can't wait to move in!” – Skye Forster
“My house has a lot of charm and I wanted to make these areas stand out. The Victorian Ceiling Stencils Set helped me achieve the look I wanted and this project has become a big hit with my friends.” – Susan Efremides

“I restored a Roaring 20’s buffet inside and out using Antibes Green and Louis Blue Chalk Paint®. I also used Gold Gilding Wax to highlight the piece in just the right places. When all was completed, I sealed the piece in its entirety using Soft Clear Wax. The Stenciling on the doors are the Chinois Stencils Set, which I really had fun with! Thank you for making such great stencils!” – Dawna Lee Dansby
“My husband and I just purchased our first home (MAJOR fixer upper) and stenciling our bathroom floor with the Toledo Tile Stencil was the one project that I've been looking forward to. I am so happy with the results!” – Emily Smith
“I hated the tile of our powder room, so I painted it with the Renaissance Tile A Stencils. I used white Valspar Porch Paint and mixed a Porch Paint to the color of Carolina coast. This stenciled floor will hold up well.” – Erin Bernsen
“I found this mid-century basset server that was in sad shape. My husband refurbished the piece since it had a lot of dings and scratches all over. But slowly, we both saw it turn from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. I created a custom color with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® and clear wax. The final touch was the Hollywood Squares Stencil.” – Barbara Rosenstock
“We had stained partial board floors. I decided to do something out if my comfort zone and paint and stencil my floors. I used the Lisboa Tile Stencil in slate gray and linen white. I also used a satin sealer so I could mop my floors. The floors turned out beautiful and I will definitely stencil again! Thank you for an amazing stencil!” – Tracy Guenther

“My clients have a wonderfully eclectic home filled with decor and momentous from their travels, particularly Africa. They had a neglected utility room off the kitchen I just refinished for them. They wanted to do something fun and interesting and I knew Royal Design Studio would have the perfect stencil! We decided on the Tribal Batik Furniture Stencil. I was able to go over the existing finish with Old White Chalk Paint® and in reverse with Honfleur Chalk Paint® on the bottom cabinet. The room now shines artfully with the rest of the house.” – Andrea Young
