Stenciling is a fast, easy, and inexpensive way to customize and update any surface in your house with paint, including walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, and fabric. Stenciling is generally done using either stencil brushes or stencil rollers. You can stencil with craft acrylic paints, latex wall paint, or our specially designed Royal Stencil Creme paints. Okay after using this stencil for literal days I can finally review. This review is for using a stippling technique, not a roller.
First of all the stencil is too delicate. The thin areas start to get stretched out after a while and you really need to hold down every line to avoid globby-ness underneath. Even trying your hardest to not have globs, you’re going to have to go back and touch up with the base color. And the lines between different types of areas, like the leaves and bamboo, are so thin you need a million different brush sizes and even then you still have to go back and touch up overlapping color.
Second of all, it takes me 1-2 hours to do 3 colors on this. That’s on me for picking a lot of colors but if you pick this even for a small wall, you’re looking at at least 12 hours of your life stenciling. Keep that in mind before purchasing.
Finally, my stencil wasn’t properly laser cut which means after I finish spending literal days of my life with this stencil, I’m going to have to go back and reoverlay it on areas that I already did to get the little bamboo nubs that go above the leaves. You can even see it in their photos that it’s not always there. So if you get this and your stencil doesn’t have those don’t be like me and realize it halfway in. Send it back and get it done correctly before you start.
-1 star for the flawed product and -1 for the design not being stencil friendly. I’m sure the designer was proud of it but never had to actually use it.

Was much harder to do than shown on website. My friend and I watched many utube videos. We were unable to complete the job.
