Timeless decor always seems to be derived from nature. For example terracotta, or “baked earth” in its Italian translation, has been around since the beginning of time and will forever have a place in interior design. The rich colors of terracotta warm up any interior, not just an Italian villa! This natural earthy look can be used to decorate the walls of everything from a modern loft to a rustic cottage, or even a “jungalow” styled room. However, you don’t need to buy the heavy and expensive terracotta you see at the store. Instead, you can have fun recreating the terracotta look like this with Tile Stencils if you follow the instructions on our DIY tutorial video: How to Stencil DIY Terracotta Wall Art Tiles.
Forget the adage about neutrals for large furniture and go bold with a colorful couch. We have been spotting upholstered pieces in shades of deep green in many trendy home settings. Soft neutral or bold and bright, green is a surprisingly complimentary partner with other colors and for many design styles. This means it has great versatility: You can take it in a more rustic direction (think leaves and twigs) or go full-out jewel-tone glam with our Lisboa Tile Wall Stencil. The dark green can also easily look classic and cozy nested in a boho living room full of warm reds and yellows. Bonus points if your couch is tufted and velvet!
Cork is a timeless material because of its natural, environmentally friendly, and resilient qualities. Because cork comes from nature itself, no piece is the same, offering a multitude of grain, texture, and color choices. No wonder it’s finding a new popularly in today’s modern interiors! We wanted to kick it up a notch so created an easy and inexpensive IKEA Hack by covering a parsons table with cork sheeting-and then complimented it with a trendy stencil. Watch our DIY tutorial video How to Stencil Cork Furniture Ikea Hack to see how you can introduce this decor trend into your own home (easily!) using our Mandala Fusion Tile Stencil.
