Rachelle Meagher Fine Art says, “Life is too short for boring walls”, and we definitely agree! used our Moroccan Scallops Wall Stencil, metallic Royal Stencil Cremes, and metallic foils to create some mermaid magic in this bathroom makeover.
Sarah Cornelison says, “For the last two years my daughter has wanted a mermaid room. I kept telling her when she's 7 we'll change it. Well it’s that time. I decided to go with gray and teal as a backdrop. I found your Moroccan Scallops Wall Stencil on Pinterest and was hooked instantly on the idea of mermaids as she requested. I freehanded the water look with 4 teal colors and Modern Masters metallic glaze. I initially was going to do the whole wall, but wanted the illusion of water movement. So I taped a rough edge to help guide me. I started in the middle of my wall and just went for it. I used a Stencil Brush to soften the scales and highlight areas, almost giving it a multidimensional look. Thank you for art inspiration. This was a fun project and my daughter is on cloud nine in her mermaid room.”
Designer Kara Paslay loves that the Moroccan Scallops Wall Stencil creates an easy and affordable faux tile look… and she took it one step further! The scallop design immediately reminded Kara of the ocean, so she ran (or swam!) with the idea and created a fish scale tile look in a beach themed bathroom. You can also create a more subdued fish scale look using neutral color paints…
