A nursery is the perfect space to stencil as you can add pattern and color to walls, furniture, fabrics, window treatments and even the floor! Babies need lots of interesting colors to look at and the best part is the fun you can have making that happen! Stencils loan themselves to any color scheme and Royal Design Studio offers so many design styles and collections to choose from -- there's even a Children's and Nursery Stencils Collection. We've rounded up a few creative ideas from our friends to jumpstart ideas for those sweet stencil lullabies!

Rachel Eloise from Spilt Milk wanted tons of color for her little girl! Using the very modern and fresh Circling Allover Elements Stencil, she brought in the colors of the fabric along all the walls, creating a fun and loose horizontal stripe.  Be sure to see more pics of her stenciled nursery -- we love it!

Apartment Therapy shared an Indian-inspired nursery from one of their readers, Shannel, using the Indian Paisley Wall Stencil.  She said, "These were the words that came to mind: feminine, eclectic but chic, Indian, personal, unique and budget-friendly. After finding a vase with pretty mehndi designs on it, I started thinking about how I could incorporate that into the room. After doing some research online, I found the perfect stencil from Royal Design Studio!" We love how pretty and soft Shannel's color scheme is, too -- we think she exceeded her nursery goals!

The Allover Ethnic Stencils Collection seems to inspire quite a few nurseries as the Indian Paisley Wall Stencil finds its way into another one!  This time, it's used by Lauren Liess of Pure Style home to stencil the fabric canopy of the crib. Lauren designed the nursery with navy blue walls with great pops of both white and bright colors. She used a dropcloth for the fabric canopy and stenciled with leftover wall paint and shares that the project took her 3 - 4 hours. SO creative!

Amy Renea of A Nest for All Seasons also got creative when she stenciled a feature wall with the Honeycomb Allover Stencil from the Allover Modern Stencils Collection. Although you could use this stencil to create an allover custom wallpaper look, Amy chose to use several colors, including the Copper Kettle Stencil Creme, and fade the pattern away, ombre style, to pinks and golds with a stencil brush. She also added a few "faling" combs closer to the floor for added movement. "The stencil was MUCH larger than I anticipated and made the process go quicker than I thought it would. I attached the stencil to the wall with a simple painting tape and had no problems with paint peeling off and residue." Be sure to visit her blog to see more tips and pics of her stenciled nursery wall project!

Although not a nursery, we couldn't resist including this image! Our Casablanca Trellis Moroccan Stencil on a backdrop helps a super cutie shine as she's photographed by Courtney Wilson of Bella Photography. You just want to pinch those cheeks!

We hope this sweet, special spaces have inspired ideas for your nursery! Be sure to share them with projects@royaldesignstudio.com or right on the Royal Design Studio Facebook page!  Have an inspired day!
