Stenciling is a fast, easy, and inexpensive way to customize and update any surface in your house with paint, including walls, floors, ceilings, furniture, and fabric. Stenciling is generally done using either stencil brushes or stencil rollers. You can stencil with craft acrylic paints, latex wall paint, or our specially designed Royal Stencil Creme paints. I was waiting to write this review until I got deeper into the makeover of my dining room. I took inspiration from an image that was once on this page under this stencil. I purchased 3 of these stencils to do what I needed to do. First I started of with a plaster texture in my picture frame inserts and followed that up by using the stencil and applied drywall compound over the top to get a relief. I used two stencils for that because over time, the spray adhesive got a little caked on. Once I painted my entire background first navy then gold, I'm now starting to take the third stencil and go over the top to paint the high areas of the stencil. Super durable stencil and very detailed. Withstood my scrubbing it to get the drywall mud off. I can't wait to have my room completed! A+ would definitely buy again
Just WOW Lee! Stenciling with joint compound and then highlighting can be challenging but the results are so worth it and you did an amazing job with this wall stencil project. You should be VERY proud! :)
Love it! I will say it took a few days for me and took a lot of patience. I only bought one stencil, I would recommend buying two for this design if painting two big walls.
