The amount of amazing stencil projects you submitted for our latest quarterly Before and After stenciling project contest blew us away! We truly appreciate the pride and passion for creativity behind each and every one.
We shared the top 6 winners in this Part 1 Blog Post, but there were so many more we wanted to share to inspire you on your next home stencil project. We had a record number of deserving entries so it’s not possible to share them ALL but here is another round of floor and wall stenciling inspiration for you to enjoy.
Akita Wall Stencil by Diane Audia
Sometimes the biggest impact comes from small space stenciling. This little fly wall area looking into the kitchen becomes a major focal point thanks to our Akita wall stencil that Diane stenciled in a metallic gold over a base of Ben Moore Kendall Charcoal. The stenciling on the dark color completely elevates the look of this space!
Asahi Wall Stencil by Jessica Palladino
Jessica wanted to brighten up her foyer entry and she got creative with a sunny yellow color (Farrow & Ball Citrona) and our Asahi Wall Stencil.
She says, “ I decided to do an accent rather than a complete, solid pattern to give dimension and movement to the space without being overwhelmingly busy. It was less time consuming for the results I wanted and I’m really happy with how it turned out.”
Stencil tip: Play audible or podcasts while you stencil to help create a relaxing and enjoyable art experience.
Butterfly Pavilion Chinoiserie Stencil by Julie McMurtry
Julie wanted to create a special wall area to hang and highlight the finger painting here now 20 year old daughter painted when she was three.
She used our Smoked Oyster Stencil Creme paint for the stencil and says, “I love how it changes the ground and makes it look even more special!”
Bunny Hop Wall Stencil by Tracy duCharme
Tracy wanted to create a unique storage solution for a child’s room and had an existing chest to paint and play with. She found 6 plain wooden boxes that were just the right size to fit the shelves and stenciled them with our sweet Bunny Hop Stencil using colors to match what was existing in the room.
The result is this adorable custom storage that is as cute as it is functional.
Flourish Wall Stencil by Taylor Wagenbach
Taylor used our amazing stencil brushes and some acrylic paints to create this bright and beautiful wall stenciling. Stenciling the Flourish pattern with multiple colors allowed them incorporate the colors they love to live with. She says, “We love it and couldn’t be happier!”
Half Moon Wall and Floor Stencil by Melissa Richardson
Melissa says, “I wanted a total transformation for my entry and your stencils never disappoint! I absolutely love it. It looks like a much more expensive makeover and it is so fun to do. I used concrete paint+primer. Sherwin Williams Irish Cream and Gallant Gold.”
Her stencil tip: Go for it! Everyone loves my stencil projects and they are so much more beginner friendly than people think!
Rose Buddies Floral Wall Stencil by Becca Holtz
Rebecca says, “ I love a wallpaper look, but did not want to commit to the permanence and price of hiring help and installing wallpaper. In terms of resources, I had more time than money to spare on the project.”
“Obsessed would be an understatement. I completed this stencil project in my guest bedroom and now I want to live in it!”
Starlight Wall Stencil by Lisa Berg
Lisa reports that the stencil was very sturdy and the Smoked Oyster Stencil Crème Paint she used for the wall stenciling was amazing. We love this elegant look on the soft blue walls. So refreshing!
Supernova Star Tile Allover Stencil by Rachel Porter
Rachel wanted to elevate the bathroom space in her 101 year old home but tile wasn’t an option due to the uneven flooring. She decided a custom floor stencil would be a gorgeous solution.
She says, “The stenciling took longer than expected, but once I got into the flow, it was pretty enjoyable to work with my hands and create something beautiful.”
Summer Field Cottage Wall Stencil by Lisa Purinton
Lisa says, “We own an 1850 home and stencils were a big part of decorating back then. I like to add stencil design elements to the home and this was a powerful statement in the room. This is the first time I've ever done an all over wall stencil and was nervous but excited to try to get the effect of stencil wallpaper. Everyone who sees it thinks it is wallpaper.”
