With more interior designers on Instagram than ever before, inspiration for home decorating is truly at our fingertips. And it’s not just impressive design feats that make us want to double tap to like; some of our favorite accounts are everyday moms, first time home-buyers, and the beginner stencilista. Here are our recent favorites that used Royal Design Studio stencils in their homes… If you want to show off your own stenciled space, make sure to tag us @royalstencils and add the hashtag #royaldesignstudio.
@shoannacrowell stepped up and made a statement on her stairs. She painted her stair risers with our Taj Tile Border Stencil in black and white and beautiful all over. We can’t stop stair-ing… can you??
@craveinteriors has a beautiful boho modern midcentury home and found that our Tribal Batik Furniture Stencil would be a great way to upcycle this piece to match her style. What does this inspire you to stencil in your own home?
Our Mughal Trellis Moroccan Wall Stencil has a luxurious wallpaper look and we love the neutral color scheme that @fancypaintsy used for her wall. What paint colors would you choose for this large wall pattern?
@elginarts says, “Got boring floors? Stencils to the rescue! I used the Palace Trellis Moroccan Stencil from Royal Design Studio and mixed up a pretty blue using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® and created a fun print! So unique and easy to do! Added Bona clear coat to seal everything.”
A little dancer needs a room that will inspire her and will help her grow. @littlemoon_clothing created the ultimate girl’s room by painting the walls in turquoise, Bright Gold Royal Stencil Creme, and our Peacock Fancy Wall Stencil.
@verdigreenhome put a spin on this glam accent wall by creating tone on tone black stripes by layering Dark Wax over Graphic Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. Then they painted our Raj Trellis Indian Wall Stencil in gold and added French inspired furniture.
@ericadeuel says, “My favorite way to decorate is with art made by those I love.” Stenciling her fireplace surround with a DIY tile look using our All The Angles Wall Stencil gave her home the creative, custom, and personal look she absolutely cherished!
This was @karla.finn’s first time stenciling, and she loves how her bedroom wall turned out! She used our All The Right Curves Wall Stencil to paint a focal point in her room… and all of her friends thought it was designer wallpaper!
@frugal_and_crafty_ says, “After a year, my stenciled sub floor is still holding up!!! I can't believe it! It was seriously such a quick and easy project!! So much better than an ugly 70s rug! I sanded the floor then used 2 cans of Minwax polyshades 1step on the floor and a small sample can of paint to Anatolia Tile Stencil. Easy ;)”
@arianahoffmanartisans says, “This large scale modern grid pattern is absolutely glamorous in black and hite.” The graphic pattern only LOOKS like wallpaper (from every angle!), but it’s actually our Contempo Trellis Wall Stencil ;)
@rachelgronskei decorated her little girl’s nursery in a quick weekend. She says, “The Esperance Lace Wall Stencil from Royal Design Studio really made the room pop. Ella doesn’t know it... but she needed some shiplap in her life.”
@cassidytrom brought the Southwest back home with our Gatsby Glam Art Deco Wall Stencil and an earthly color palette. She painted her wall in only one evening and what a difference! This DIY update is fast and easy!
@malenkaoriginals gave this neglected dresser a modern makeover by stripping the wood, Stenciling the drawer with our Lacy Leaves Furniture Stencil, painting it with Provence Chalk Paint®, mixing Annie Sloan Black and Dark Wax, and then applying Clear Wax. We think it turned out blue-tiful!
@joc_thomas says, “Changed a boring wall in our basement bathroom into an interesting one tonight thanks to the amazing Lisabetta Damask Wall Stencil from Royal Design Studio! I am officially obsessed, and my husband should fear the fact that every room might have some sort of stenciled design incorporated into it LOL!”
@thesoutherneclectic says, “Needing to add some visual interest to a space? Consider Stenciling an accent wall. It’s far less expensive than wallpaper and you are able to customize it and make it your own.” Click our bio link to shop all our designs including our Mandala Fusion Wall Stencil.
You can stencil just about ANYTHING! @cbupcycle used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® and our Mediterranean Tile Stencils to decorate this back wall, and then upcycled this upholstered chair with our Maple Mill Furniture Stencil!
