Is there a piece of furniture that you can’t keep your eyes off of? That’s how we are with The House Warming and all of her gorgeous painted furniture projects! She creates a variety of furniture designs – vintage, mid modern century, French Provincial, and much more. Each and every piece is painted with Furniture Stencils to make it one of a kind.
She uses Royal Design Studio Stencils and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® in most of her custom furniture designs, which complement each other beautifully. She can create various looks by pairing different stencil patterns and paint colors.
The House Warmings says, “With my finishes, I am trying to create a soft, almost organic look. To create this soft look, I like to use muted colors which I achieve by doing washes - diluting paint with water and wiping it off right after applying- over the final coat. When using various colors on one stencil project the white wash gives this faded and weathered look which is one of my favorite finishes. This also creates depth, which gives the piece more character. But because of the muted colors, it won’t take over a room."
"I like to call my style modern bohemian which to me gives room to play with patterns, texture and colors :) I love the variety of styles and patterns that Royal Design Studio Stencils offers. I often spend more time than intended looking at all of their stencils and getting inspired for future projects - it’s true ;) The quality of Royal Design Studio Stencils are outstanding. I wash them right after using and use the again and again.”
You can create your own custom furniture designs too! A DIY furniture makeover using Royal Design Studio Furniture Stencils and furniture paint is the perfect solution for transforming thrift store finds or your current decor into custom furniture pieces that offer high style at low cost.
