Stair Flair! Giving stairs a new look is a concern for most homeowners and St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles featured several gorgeous ideas for incorporating pattern and color in their April 2013 issue. We're so happy and proud that the go-to stencil company they chose to feature was Royal Design Studio! Stencils can easily help YOU step up those boring stairs and transform them into a high-style design statement. Stencils offer an abundance of different pattern choices and the stenciling process for a staircase is easy -- even for stencil beginners. St. Louis Homes & Lifestyles featured two recent stenciled staircase projects by Royal Design Studio, one in the US and other in Morocco. Let's take a look!
These stairs are located in Peacock Pavilions, one of the most beautiful boutique hotels in Marrakesh. Royal Design Studio has taken many a painting trip with the "Peacock Painters" and stenciled and designed spaced that have been covered in publications such as Elle Decor and Food & Wine These black & white staircase riser's various stencil patterns were stenciled on plywood pieces that were cut to size and then later installed.beautifully designed and stenciled surfaces were also featured in Studios magazine. Although the process may look difficult, it's actually fairly easy to create a stained patterned stencil design on wood staircases. The Modello Marquetry Manual is an affordable tutorial that shows you the process step-by-step!
