You can easily and affordably change the entire look of your cabinets with stencils! Replacing cabinets can set you back tens of thousands of dollars and as more people are nesting and enjoying their homes longer, giving out-of-date or stock cabinets a stylish, custom look with paint and stencils is a really enticing (and sooo doable!) option.  These creative and beautiful stencil ideas are perfect for kitchens, living rooms and baths cabinets and translate seamlessly to furniture, too. Now, let's help you get started with a few inspiring stenciled cabinetry projects!

Artist Tiffany Alexander from Blank Canvas Studio wanted to add special  an artisan detail to cabinet panels and chose the Firenze Classic Panel Stencil to do so. Using crackles and aging glazes with the stencil pattern helped her create a gorgeous European-inspired cabinet finish. So dreamy - we love the colors, too! The Classic Panels Stencils Collection has many designs that can be used effectively on furniture, doors and cabinets to create beautiful raised or recessed stenciled panels so be sure to click in and see all the beauties available for you!

Adding a raised ornamental design to cabinetry is also very easy to accomplish with stencils. As our stencil embossing tutorial showcases, you can also customize the depth of the relief detail as well. Janis from All Things Beautiful added dimension to her built-in buffet doors by embossing the Micah Classic Panel & Furniture Stencil with plaster, paint and glaze. It now looks like expensive carved wood detail on cabinetry! Don't miss her how to emboss furniture DIY blog post for all the details.

For an intimate bar area, artist Janie Ellis of Anything but Plain decided on a French-inspired design and finish with the Parisian Urn Classic Panel Stencil.  It's a classic look that's always in style! We adore how well the cabinet finish pairs with the backsplash and decorative paint technique on the walls. In addition to the Classic Panels, both the Classic Motifs Stencils Collection and Furniture Stencils that help add timeless touch to your stenciled cabinetry and furniture projects.

A fresh coat of paint or a decorative finish paired with stencils can make worn, tired cabinets look new again. In the alternate, many cabinets already have great bones and a great finish and just need a small design upgrade with a beautiful pattern.
